Lauren + Michael - Let's get married under that kick arse tree!

We’ll I’m back! 2018 has been an amazing year so far, and yes…I’m a tad late in getting back onto important duties…like posting killer wedding images from past weddings I’ve shot - BUT I have been busy…and I have been all over this state!

Only now have I had time to get back into ‘screen time work’ and show off some awesome, fun, modern wedding’s from the past couple of months. Ahhh soo good!

So in saying all this… what better way to start than with Lauren and Michael’s wedding out at the always awesome, and hugely popular Ironbark Hill Vineyard, run by Enzo Weddings.

This place constantly changes with it’s seasons, and lately, gorgeous exterior lighting and well planned styling, florals and natures ‘input’ really makes this venue shine ever brighter with every wedding I shoot here.

A special mention also to Lauren and Michael for adding to this, by taking on the challenge of having their wedding ceremony outside the chapel on site here… my 1st time shooting outside and wow… how awesome it was! Just check the natural light shots…and that tree….ehhh to die for!

Once again, a beautiful, award winning afternoon sunset in the Hunter Valley never seems to disappoint, with kangaroos watching these two take their first time together as husband and wife.

A special mention also to the suppliers on this stunning wedding… just so much to shoot and it was so nice to shot it. Details were mega… a photographers dream.

Also, a personal high-five to Mel and Amy at Enzo Wedding… you ladies are just unreal…and I love working alongside you and the team! #bam

Michelle+Haydn's Engagement Shoot / Walka Water Works, Maitland

Meet Michelle and Haydn.

A gorgeous young couple that I met at the Love on the Lawn Festival at Hope Estate back in 2016.

After getting to know them a bit on this shoot together, it's so great to hear that they have both been such a support for each other from day one.

Meeting at school, finishing their HSC and buying their first house, this really is a 'high-school sweetheart' relationship.

Their wedding is to be held this weekend, with some great vendors thrown in the mix - and some of which I've yet to work alongside with. With all that said, I'm looking forward to catching up with two really nice souls on the morning of their wedding!

Bring on the good times, date nights and loving memories!

Tell me a little about yourselves guys, and how did you both meet?

Well, Haydn is 2 years older than me - He's 23 and I'm 21. We both met through school and have been dating since I was 15.

What have been the most exciting parts of planning your wedding?

Haydn hasn't had much to do with the wedding planning but he's had a say on some things. I wanted a cake topper made out of clay to look like us on our wedding day and he kinda didn't, haha so we compromised and got one! The most exciting part for me has been has been going through all the pamphlets and cards from vendors from expos selecting vendors and seeing things just stat to come together.

How do you think marriage will change this relationship?

We don't think marriage will change us much at all. We definitely are best friends and we have relied on each other since a young age. We do a lot together and we have gone through all the milestones together too - our 18th and 21st birthdays, getting our car licences, completing the hsc, living together and even buying our 1st house together. If anything the only thing changing will be my last name!

What do you most look forward to about your wedding?

"The I do's". And I look forward to seeing Haydn on the day and how he will react during all the moments we encounter.

What are the most important things that will create a long lasting and loving marriage?

Always having time for each other. You can't let your busy lives out way the importance to connect with each other.

Who are the vendors that you are working with for your wedding day?

Well you - Gez Xavier Mansfield Photography! Fennel and Co are our Catering, Edie McCarthy is our celebrant, Once Upon a Picture is the photo booth and DJ hired, Switch Multimedia is doing videography and Lovedale Wedding Chapel is where our ceremony is being held with their reception centre.

Karli from forever Floral wedding designs is our florist, and we also hired Princess Classic Cars for our transport to Lovedale in the Hunter Valley.

Who have been your favourite wedding dress designers?

I have chosen a Kenneth Winston Gown. I love their designs. I did also really love some of the rosa Clara Gown's too. Getting married? Check them out.

What special ways do you express your love to each other?

Just little things we do I guess. Being supportive of each other. We always put kisses at the end of our texts. Always.

What are your favourite ways to spend time together?

Going out on a regular date night (dinner and movies is great). I love laughing with him, we always find ways to make each other laugh. It's part of us.

What’s your relationship advice for couples planning their big day?

Haha, well Haydn says 'let the fiance have what she wants." I say the professional, modern expo's are really fantastic - they're so informative and a fun day out.

What’s the best relationship advice anyone has given you?

Our advice would be from my Grandma actually, which would be to make sure we keep going on dates. That and 'happy Wife, happy Life' hehe!
