Kate+Glenn's Woodland Spring Engagement shoot in Pokolbin

We meet. We talk all things weddings. 10 months fly's by and soon it's only 8 weeks until the big day!

Time fly's when you're having fun, especially when you have someone amazing to share these times with.

I've come to realise that no matter how big or small the wedding is, there is always something more to do. It's a fact of life.

Something to re-organise and something to change... even if it's to be changed back at a later date.

Time did fly after I first meet with Kate and Glenn in the hunter over a beer at Harrigan's pub.

But as I type this, my face smiles knowing that Saturday will be just a perfect day for these two, as they meet each other at the isle.

With the past few years being quite tough for these two, I feel like it can only get better. Like all couples, Kate and Glenn were a little nervous when starting out but soon the warmth of the spring sun cracked that ice to reveal the true, real love these two have for one another.  If you need to talk, then talk. If you want to laugh, then just laugh. Being in eachothers company is what makes engagement shoots like these perfect, as they bring out the natural side of us all.

Once again, I feel blessed to have captured this important time of their lives, and can't wait to do it all again on Saturday when they become husband and wife!

Once again, I'm talking way to much, when I should be letting the images do the speaking. I hope these shots melt your heart. Enjoy.

How did you meet?

We met on Tinder! We met up for a drink that turned into dinner. A few weeks later Glenn looked after my dog Chloe while I sailed the Almalfi Coast. When I got back Chloe decided we should keep him around.

What do you love about each other?

Glenn took my chronic illness and genetic condition in his stride. He gives me injections, advocates for me at the hospital, looks after me when I am sick and even raised a heap of money for my favourite charity. He is always on my team.

"I love how much she cares about everybody in her life and her passion for nursing. I love her laugh and when she's smiles too"

Do you have any funny relationship stories?

The first time we went grocery shopping together Glenn said he didn't use plastic bags for vegetables. I grabbed a handful of beans and chucked them straight into the trolley. Glenn's face!!!

How did you become engaged?

We had a 3 day stopover in Singapore before we travelled around Europe. We spent most of it in the pool at Marina Bay Sands. Glenn proposed on the suspension bridge at Gardens by the Bay.

Why did you choose this style of shoot for your engagement photos?

We need to check if we are photogenic enough for our wedding photos. I wanted a wintery woodland style shoot to compliment our bright spring shoot for the wedding.

What have been the most exciting parts of planning your wedding?

Seeing all of our planning come to life!

How do you think marriage will change your relationship?

Hopefully it will make our bond even stronger.

What do you most look forward to about your wedding?

Being with all our friends and family. Everyone is staying so we get to really kick back and enjoy our time together.

What are the most important things that will create a long lasting and loving marriage?

Trust and communication. Working as a team. Sticking together through the good and bad.

What made you choose this location for your engagement shoot?

We love wine and spent a fair few weekends in the Hunter Valley.

What are your favourite ways to spend time together?

We love travelling together. We have a dog called Arlo who loves to join in our adventures. We love to take our kayaks for a paddle.

What’s your relationship advice for couples planning their big day?

Get a joint email account where everything is sent! We got so muddled up with who had what email.

What's been the hardest thing about planning your wedding day?

We want to start a family. We booked our wedding into the future hoping our baby would be with us on the day. We have gone through 3 cycles of IVF with no luck so far. It's taken a huge toll on our finances and we have spent $30,000 so far. We're so lucky to have Kate's parents pay a generous towards our wedding.

What’s the best relationship advice anyone has given you?

Be each other's biggest support.

If you both had magical powers to turn into an animal, what would you be, and why?

Glenn would be a dog. Our dog is pretty spoilt! Kate would be a seal in the Galapagos Islands they seemed to live a great life of sand and sea.

Wedding Day Vendors?

Our celebrant Kate Croucher from Here, Now and Always is coming from Melbourne. Kate met Kate when they hiked the Great Ocean Road to raise funds for Christina Noble's orphanage in Vietnam.
