How does a gorgeous visual love story of super-cute sunrise photos sound to start off your upcoming weekend? Caitlin and Dan have been together for several years, and photographer Gez Xavier Mansfield describes them as one of the “chilled out, cutest couples ever.
"Wow time fly's. Meeting Caitlin and Dan on a Sunday morning in Sydney to chat about their upcoming wedding details seemed like forever and a day ago! But, I have to admit - no love lost between these two.
Due to Dan's job, the couple have moved north to Queensland, but are even more stoked to be getting in the Hunter at the beautiful Wandin Valley Estate in front of all their family and friends back here in N.S.W,
With their contact now a little further away, it worked out best to meet these two one morning for a sunrise shoot when they were down sorting out other wedding supplier duties.
The brief was out. A quiet, light soaked location, that looked ambiguous and unique at the same time. Ok... haha. What better place to do it than on the Stockton Dunes!
A 4.30am meet up, a cheaply made Macca's coffee and a bit of a sand-dune hike from the paved road delivered us to a rising sun where only 4WD tyre marks remained. No bodies. No tents. No wildlife. Just 3 of us and a camera.
A beautiful contrast to the upcoming wedding. Costal v Valley? Two gorgeous locations. Two sets of lovely photos. Job done!
I really look forward to seeing these two on their big day, and I can only imagine how happy they will both be. As you can tell from some of these shots... we spent some time at this location. Sunrise isn't the best time to shoot, but we made it amazing. Using levels, learning some relaxed natural stances and having a really nice time opened these two up.
Shooting in the Hunter Valley and around Newcastle as a wedding photographer is such an experience now. Everyday is different.
"I've really enjoyed shooting weddings and this year. It's been busy, yes... haha but I feel like I've really found my groove with my style and with my relationships with couples. And when you're photographing real couples like these guys... it really just makes it all worth it."
I hope you enjoy this set of images. Bring on the wedding!
